Frequently Asked Questions Why should I buy from TNBS? Legally a product needs to only contain 1% of a natural ingredient to be called 'natural'. A Large proportion of ‘natural’ brands in the high street contain as little as one percent of natural ingredients whilst the other remaining ingredients is a cocktail of chemicals. Our aim is to provide to you the purest and most effective products as possible. TNBS sells multiple ranges of products that are 100% natural. All our products have to pass a strict screening of their ingredients by The Natural Beauty Shop’s team. We will never sell products containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Parabens, Mineral oil and many other chemical irritants. How effective are the TNBS products? We have scaled and will continue to scale the natural beauty market to provide to you some of the best natural products available. Many of our products are award winning. They are frequently found in the top beauty magazines and endorsed by popular beauty editors. Some of our brands have even been used by A-list celebs such as Demi Moore, Charlize Theron, Kate Moss and Keira Knightly! Why are natural products generally more expensive to buy? Natural and Plant-based ingredients are more expensive to produce than chemical ingredients. Natural Products are often handmade in smaller batches unlike most commercially available synthetic products. However, you will find that you will need to use far less of a natural product than a chemical based one; as they are generally concentrated a little goes a very long way!! Are any of TNBS products tested on animals? No. Almost three million animals are used for experiments in the UK every year. As a result an animal dies in a laboratory somewhere in the UK every 12 seconds (source buav). We are against animal testing and refuse to stock any brand which tests their products on animals. Some people experience a 'detox' effect when they first start using natural skin care. When you begin using natural products you may find bumps or spots appearing. This is part of the healing process your skin is going through after detoxing from your usual chemical based products; your skin needs time to adjust. After 2 - 3 weeks this should pass and your skin will start to show the benefits of your new skin care regime. If you are concerned that this could be a reaction, It is advisable to do a patch test on your neck or wrist overnight.
