Pure Potions was founded by natalie balmond in an attempt to find a natural, effective, safe, steroid-free way to manage her daughters' chronic eczema. When her one year-old daughter lula, developed chronic eczema, she struggled to control her raging flare-ups with a variety of tactics. Within months she had to be wrapped from head to foot in bandages every night to protect her sore and bleeding skin.

Although steroids improved her condition, she knew that their long term use could lead to thinning of the skin and other side effects. Out of desperation over many months she researched and experimented with oils and herbs in her own kitchen and finally formulated a beeswax based salve combined with oils and herbs -that in a very short space of time, improved lula's skin dramatically. She made one or two pots a week for lula and for close friends. but as interest grew, so did the demand - and now the Skin Salvation salve is used by thousands of eczema sufferers all over the country.

Ingredients (and benefits):
olive fruit oil - calming and nourishing, anti-bacterial.
beeswax - a natural emulsifier. provides a protective base and keeps the skin moisturised.
safflower seed oil - soothing, excellent for sensitive skin.
hemp seed oil - extremely nourishing, moisturising, rich in essential fatty acids (EFA's), which are often lacking with eczema and psoriasis suffers.
tinctures of:
nettle - to reduce heat.
chickweed -to reduce itching.
calendula - for tissue regeneration.
camomile - to soothe the skin.

Directions for use: Apply liberally to any part of the body as often as needed. Apply thickly before bed to reduce night time itching. Also safe for use on babies and children. Skin can be safely applied to any area of the body, including face, hands and scalp. We recommend customers patch test on an unaffected area before use (leave for 24 hours) as some people may be allergic to herbs, oils or beeswax. It is best to wear old pyjamas after applying as the salve can stain when used over time. Take care not to spread the salve from one area of skin to another if the skin is infected.
